A 16 A three phase Type 2 charging cable, five metres long. The cable that goes between a public or commercial charge point and the car.
Three phase at 16 A is 11 kW, which is around three times what a single phase cable of the same rating delivers. Many cables sold as Type 2 are single phase only, and that is not obvious from looking at them.
The car decides how much it takes. A cable cannot make a single phase on board charger charge faster. What a three phase cable does is remove itself as the limit, so if the car and the charge point can both do 11 kW, you get 11 kW.
16 A or 32 A is the question worth thinking about. This cable is lighter, cheaper and easier to coil than a 32 A one, and on a car whose on board charger tops out below 11 kW it costs you nothing. If your charger can take more, the 32 A version is the one that will not hold it back.

Features
- Full three phase, so the cable is not the limit on an 11 kW charge point
- Lighter and easier to handle than a 32 A cable
- Five metres, enough to reach when the post is on the wrong side
- Made to IEC 62196-2
Compatibility
For any vehicle with a Type 2 inlet charging from a Type 2 socketed charge point, which covers most public and commercial AC charging in the UK and Europe.
It will not make your car charge faster than its own on board charger. If the car has a 7 kW single phase charger, that is what you get regardless of the cable.
This is an AC charging cable. DC rapid chargers have their own cable permanently attached to the unit.
