A 50 A DC contactor rated to 750 V, with a 12 volt coil. For switching high voltage auxiliary loads on command.
Breaking DC is harder than breaking AC, and that is what this part is for. Alternating current crosses zero a hundred times a second and any arc drawn on opening extinguishes itself. Direct current never does, so an arc struck at high voltage keeps burning across separating contacts until something puts it out. An ordinary relay asked to break a high voltage DC circuit does not fail gracefully: it welds, or it burns.
The coil is polarity sensitive. Wire it the wrong way round and the contactor will not pull in, and in some conditions the coil can be damaged. It is marked on the body and it matters.

Compatibility
For switching high voltage auxiliary loads: cabin and coolant heaters, DC to DC converter feeds, charger circuits and precharge duty.
50 A is not a main pack contactor. A traction circuit needs a contactor rated for the job, typically 200 A or more with arc suppression sized to match.
Observe the coil polarity, and feed the coil from a supply that will not sag, since a contactor that chatters is a contactor that welds.
