A 68 way high density D-Sub connector. Sixty eight circuits through a single connector, in the familiar D shaped shell.
High density means three rows of pins rather than two, which is how a D-Sub shell that would normally carry 37 ways carries 68. The pins are smaller and closer together, so it is a signal connector rather than a power one, but it puts a great many circuits through one panel crossing.
The D shape is the keying. The shell is asymmetric, so the connector can only go together one way round. That is worth having on something with 68 circuits, where getting it half a row out would be both possible and catastrophic.
It is not a sealed connector. D-Subs are designed for equipment and panel use, not for weather. In a vehicle it belongs inside an enclosure or the cabin, not in an engine bay or under the floor.

| Part | 989-068-130L121 |
|---|---|
| Type | High density D-Sub connector |
| Ways | 68 |
| Rows | 3, high density |
| Sealing | None |
| Weight | 0.1 kg |
Features
- 68 circuits through one connector
- Asymmetric D shell, so it cannot be mated the wrong way round
- Standard D-Sub footprint, widely supported for panel cut outs and backshells
Compatibility
For signal and instrumentation harnesses inside an enclosure or cabin.
This is a signal connector, not a power or high voltage one. High density pins carry limited current, and the connector has no sealing, no interlock and no touch proof contacts.
Ask us about gender, contact type and whether a backshell is included. None of that is published here, and a D-Sub of this density is usually wanted as a matched set with its shell and hardware.
In the box
- 1 x 68 way high density D-Sub connector
