A straight jumper busbar, 184 mm overall with 156 mm between hole centres and 10 mm holes. For linking battery modules or distribution points that sit that distance apart.

Module to module connections are where a pack's resistance quietly accumulates. Every joint adds a little, and at pack currents a little resistance becomes a lot of heat in a place that is hard to inspect. A solid busbar of the right length keeps that low, where a cable jumper adds two crimps and a length of conductor to do the same job.

Length is the whole specification on a jumper busbar. The 156 mm hole centre distance is the number that has to match your terminals: a busbar that is a few millimetres out either will not sit flat or will be strained into place, and a busbar under tension works its bolts loose as the pack heats and cools.

Key specifications

PartBB8S156
TypeStraight jumper busbar
Overall length184 mm
Hole centres156 mm
Width25 mm
Hole diameter10 mm
Weight0.11 kg

Features

  • Solid busbar rather than a cable jumper, so there are no crimps to add resistance
  • 156 mm hole centres with 10 mm holes, suiting M10 terminal studs
  • 25 mm wide, for a generous current carrying section
  • Flat and straight, so it seats without being strained into place

Compatibility

Measure your terminal centres before ordering. This busbar fits a 156 mm spacing with 10 mm studs. Battery modules with nearly identical names often differ in terminal spacing, so check the distance on your own modules rather than going by the module name.

Do not force a busbar that does not fit. If it needs bending or pulling to line up, it is the wrong length, and the bolts will loosen as the pack cycles.

Torque the joints properly and check again after the first heat cycle. A loose busbar is the most common cause of a hot spot in a pack.

In the box

  • 1 x straight jumper busbar
