Cell Guard Development Kit

A development kit for the Cell Guard sensor: everything needed to connect one to a CAN adaptor and see it working on a bench before it goes into a pack.

Evaluating a CAN device is a chicken and egg problem. You cannot integrate it until you know what it sends, and you cannot see what it sends until you have powered it and got it onto a bus. Doing that from a bare sensor means sourcing the mating connector, working out the pinout, building a power supply and making a bus stub, all before you have learned anything.

This kit removes that. Plug the sensor in, plug a CAN adaptor in, and the traffic appears. From there you can confirm the message format against the DBC, set the address and bus speed, and decide what your BMS or vehicle controller should do about each reading.

Do that work on a bench, not in a pack. Once the sensor is inside a sealed enclosure, changing its configuration means opening the box again.

Compatibility

The sensor and the CAN adaptor are separate. The kit is what connects them; you need both. The Cell Guard's DBC file comes with the sensor and is what turns raw frames into named readings.

This is an evaluation kit, not an installation part. Use it to learn the device and set it up, then fit the sensor properly in the enclosure.
