A Type 1 charging inlet for the vehicle side, single phase and rated 16 A, supplied pre wired with three metres of cable.
Type 1 is the older single phase standard, also called J1772. It was common on Japanese and American vehicles and on earlier European ones, and it appears in conversions built around donor hardware from those cars. Unlike Type 2 it has no three phase pins at all, so it is single phase only by design rather than by rating.
At 16 A single phase this delivers about 3.7 kW, which is overnight charging rather than a top up on the way somewhere. For a small pack or a vehicle that sits still most of the time, that is often exactly enough and costs far less to install.
The pre wired tail is what makes it worth buying assembled. Terminating a charge inlet means getting the conductors into a sealed body without compromising the seal, and the consequence of doing it badly is water in a connector mounted on the outside of the car. Here the hard part is done and you join to a tail in the dry.

Compatibility
For conversions using Type 1 charging. If you are building for the UK or Europe and have a free choice, Type 2 is the current standard and gives access to far more public charging.
The inlet does not charge anything on its own. The charger, the control pilot handling and the protection are all separate, and the pilot signal has to be read by something that decides how much current to draw.
