An M8 nylon insert locking dome nut in A2 stainless steel.
Fasteners in a high voltage build are not generic hardware. A bolt through a busbar carries current. A bolt into an enclosure holds a seal. A bolt into a mount takes drive torque. In each case the wrong material, the wrong head or the wrong length is a fault that only shows up later, and usually somewhere awkward to reach.
Two features in one nut. The nylon insert grips the thread and resists vibration loosening, so the joint stays tight without a spring washer or thread lock. The domed top covers the end of the stud completely, so there is no exposed thread to snag a cable, cut a hand or corrode.
A nylon insert nut is not fully reusable. The insert deforms to the thread on first use and grips progressively less each time it is removed and refitted. Fit a new one whenever a joint is disturbed on anything that matters, which for a couple of pence is easy insurance.

| Type | Nylon insert locking dome nut |
| Thread | M8 |
| Drive | Hex |
| Material | A2 stainless steel |

Features
- Nylon insert resists vibration loosening without a spring washer or thread lock
- Domed top covers the stud end, so nothing snags or corrodes
- A2 stainless, for corrosion resistance
- A tidy finish on anything visible
Compatibility
For M8 studs and bolts where the thread end is exposed or where vibration is a concern.
Check the length against your stack before ordering. A bolt that bottoms out in a blind hole feels tight while clamping nothing, and one that is too short engages too few threads to hold. Count the thickness of everything the bolt passes through, plus the depth it needs in the thread.
In the box
