A 3.3 kW sealed onboard charger for a 108 V pack, with a built in 13.8 V supply for the low voltage side and enough signalling to run a Type 2 socket on its own. Fully potted to IP67 and fan cooled.
This is the 108 V member of the HK-M series. The whole series shares one case and one control board and differs only in the output stage, so the 48 V, 72 V and 108 V models are physically interchangeable and take the same connectors.
It does more than charge the pack. Alongside the high voltage output there is a separate 13.8 V, 5 A constant voltage output, which is enough to hold the 12 V battery up while the car is on charge rather than letting it flatten over a long session. It also reads the CC and CP pilot signals and drives an electromagnetic lock, so it can be wired straight to a Type 2 or J1772 inlet and handle the handshake and the port lock itself, without a separate charge controller.
Watch the mains supply. The full 3300 W is only available on a 220 V supply. On 110 V the charger is limited to 1600 W, so a pack that takes four hours on a UK or European supply takes eight on a 110 V one. That is a property of the charger, not of the cable.

Features
- Built in 13.8 V 5 A output, so the 12 V battery can be held up during a long charge without a second converter
- Reads the CC and CP pilot and drives the port lock, so it can run a Type 2 inlet without a separate charge controller
- Fully potted to IP67, rated to survive brief immersion, which suits an underfloor or wheel arch mounting
- Stops the output if CAN communication fails, so a lost BMS link ends the charge rather than continuing blind
- Protected against input over and under voltage, output over and under voltage, over current, short circuit and reverse battery connection
- Mating connectors and crimps are supplied with the charger for the input, the output and the signal side
Compatibility
For a 108 V nominal pack, anywhere in the 45 V to 177 V window. The BMS talks to it over CAN, and the baud rate is set in the factory, so tell us whether you need 125, 250 or 500 kbps when you order.
The same case and the same connectors are used by the 48 V and 72 V models of this series, and the higher voltage 144 V, 312 V and 540 V models use a different connector set, so do not plan a loom around one and fit the other.
If you need more than 3.3 kW on the same pack voltage, the 6.6 kW LF series covers the same ground at twice the power.
In the box
- 1 x charger
- Mating connectors and crimp terminals for the AC input, the HV output and the signal connector
Cable, the charge inlet and the mounting hardware are not included.
