This 4-piece Driveshaft Adapter Kit will allow you to use Tesla's awesome Model S Large Drive Unit to run the stock solid front/rear axles of your existing vehicle. Once the gearbox has been opened, the kit is plug-n-play and can be installed in minutes. Offered for the DIY market it comes complete with instructional video. No cutting, drilling or fabrication required. Thus there will be no need to pack up and ship a 300-lb Tesla drive unit anywhere, and likewise no requirement to purchase the large drive unit through us.
Run driveshaft directly to stock RWD axle or even your own transfer case for completely stock AWD. You can now harness up to 450 horses in the Tesla Model S Large Drive Unit that are normally split between two CV half-shafts, to turn one driveshaft. Mount the adapted Tesla large drive unit longitudinally, and then "just add driveshaft."
Headed for the highway? You may want to consider changing your vehicle's ring and pinion ratio or add the 4.1:1 Tesla Large Drive Unit gear swap. Otherwise the Tesla large drive unit comes with a stock gear ratio of 9.73:1 and the motor spins up to 18,000 RPM.
