The Orion BMS Connect WiFi expansion module: remote monitoring of a battery pack through a web browser, phone or tablet.
A BMS that only talks to the car tells you nothing when you are not in it. That is fine for a vehicle in daily use and limiting for everything else: a pack in stationary storage, a boat on a mooring, a fleet of conversions, or a car you have just built and want to watch closely for the first few months.
It shows live data and recent history. Instant readings, charts of what has happened recently, and diagnostic information including event logs, fault codes and freeze frame data. Freeze frame is the useful one: when the BMS raises a fault it captures the pack's state at that moment, so you can see what the conditions actually were rather than reconstructing them afterwards.
That changes what a fault costs you. An intermittent problem that clears before anyone looks at it is the hardest kind to find. With remote monitoring and freeze frame data, the evidence is captured whether or not anyone was watching.

Compatibility
For the Orion BMS. The BMS itself is sold separately.
It needs a network. A WiFi module in a vehicle parked out of range of anything is not monitoring. For a car this usually means it reports while at home or at the workshop; for stationary storage it is continuous.
Ask us which Orion variants it supports and what the service arrangement is. Remote monitoring systems typically involve a hosted service as well as the hardware, and that is not described on this page.
