An expansion module that adds twenty temperature sensors to an Orion BMS 2, supplied with the module, its power harness, a six foot connecting harness and twenty 0.2 m thermistors.
The BMS itself has a limited number of temperature inputs, which is fine on a small pack and not fine on a large one. A pack built from many modules needs temperature measured in many places, because the hottest cell is rarely where you would guess and an average across the pack hides exactly the problem you are watching for.
This module raises the count to a useful number and puts the readings on the same CAN bus as everything else, so the BMS acts on them the way it acts on its own sensors.
You need a CANdapter to set it up. The expansion module is programmed over CAN during installation, and the CANdapter is the tool that does it. It is not part of this kit and it is not installed with the module: it is a bench tool you use once during commissioning. If you do not already have one, order it alongside.

Compatibility
For the Orion BMS 2.
The 0.2 m thermistor length is the thing to check. It is short. It suits sensors grouped near the module, and it does not suit reaching across a large enclosure. If your sensor positions are spread out, longer thermistors and the 12 ft harness are the better combination, so ask before ordering.
A CANdapter is required for setup and is sold separately.
