A Tesla lithium ion battery module built from 18650 cells, 3 kWh, seven cells in series for 25.9 volts nominal. Water cooled, as removed from a Mercedes B Class Electric Drive.
These are Tesla modules in a Mercedes. Tesla supplied the battery for the B Class Electric Drive, which is why a module with Tesla construction comes out of a Mercedes. They use the same 18650 cell format and the same integrated water cooling as the Model S modules, in a different package.
Low module voltage makes assembly safer. At under 30 volts a single module is not a shock hazard, so modules can be handled and wired individually and the high voltage system only exists once they are in series.
Water cooling is built in. The cooling ports are part of the module, so thermal management is plumbed rather than improvised, which matters on 18650 cells that are being worked hard.

Compatibility
For EV conversions, energy storage and off grid power.
It needs a BMS. The module has no protection of its own. Every cell group needs monitoring and balancing, and 18650 modules in particular benefit from close monitoring.
Plan the cooling. The module is designed to be water cooled and the ports are there for a reason. A pack worked hard without coolant flowing is a pack ageing faster than it needs to.
Ask us for the capacity in amp hours if you are sizing a pack precisely. The published specification gives energy and voltage but not capacity directly.
