Orange terminal covers for Tesla battery module terminals.
An exposed module terminal is a short waiting to happen. During a build, modules sit on benches and get moved around with their terminals bare, and anything metal dropped across a pair of them is a dead short from a source with effectively no internal resistance. That is a genuinely dangerous event, not an inconvenience.
Covering the terminals removes that for the whole time a module is out of a pack, which on most builds is weeks rather than hours.
Orange is the high voltage convention, so a covered terminal is also a marked one: anyone who opens the pack later can see what they are looking at.
