7 Way Fuse Box 12V Mega/Midi

A seven way 12 volt fuse box taking Mega and Midi bolt down fuses. For the heavy circuits in a vehicle rather than the accessory ones.

Mega and Midi are a different class of fuse from blade fuses. They are bolt down rather than push in, they are rated in the tens and hundreds of amps rather than single figures, and they exist for the circuits that matter: the main feed from the battery, an alternator or DC to DC output, a winch, an inverter supply. A blade fuse box cannot do that job.

Bolted connections are the point. A push in blade fuse relies on spring contact, which is fine at ten amps and unreliable at a hundred: contact resistance rises, the terminal heats, and the joint degrades further. A bolted fuse has a clamped joint that stays put.

Seven ways is a main distribution board, not an accessory box. Feed it once from the battery and take the vehicle's major circuits from it.

This is a low voltage fuse box. It must never be used for anything at pack potential, which needs a proper HV fuse rated for DC.

Fuse to protect the cable, not the load. Each way should carry a fuse sized to the smallest conductor on that circuit.

Ask us for the per way and total current ratings before loading it up. No datasheet is published here, and the total rating is usually well below the sum of what seven ways could individually carry.
