The 23 pin Molex connector that plugs into the main data connection on a Tesla large drive unit, supplied as a complete kit with pins.
This is the connector that carries everything the drive unit needs to be told and everything it reports back. Without it you cannot control the unit at all, whichever inverter board you are running.
It is the part people need when building a loom from scratch, which is most conversions: the pins crimp onto your own cut cables, so the harness is built to the length and route your car actually needs rather than adapted from a Tesla one.
It is also the part people need when a connector is damaged, which is common on a drive unit pulled from a car. The 23 pin connector sits exposed and is easy to break during removal.

If the drive unit's connector itself is broken rather than the loom, that is a different repair: the 23 pin data interface board replaces the connector on the unit, and it requires an aftermarket inverter board.
