The mating connector for an Orion current sensor. It fits all four sensor sizes, 200, 500, 800 and 1000 amp.
The current sensor ships without its connector, so this is the part that gets its signal to the BMS. It is small and inexpensive and a pack cannot be commissioned without it, which is an awkward combination to discover late.
Order it with the sensor. Current is the one thing a BMS cannot derive for itself, so until the sensor is connected there is no state of charge, no charge or discharge limits, and no cumulative record. The whole BMS installation waits on this connector.
